Ronaldo Announces Engagement to Longtime Love Georgina Rodríguez

Cristiano Ronaldo, the world-famous footballer, is now engaged to his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez.

Rodríguez revealed the happy news on social media, sharing a photo of a stunning ring and writing in Spanish, “Yes, I do. In this and all my lives.”

No additional information has been disclosed so far, and Ronaldo’s Instagram account is the most-followed personality has yet to comment publicly.

The pair have been together for nine years, first meeting in Madrid when Rodríguez was working at a Gucci store and Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid.

Portugal and Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo is a father of five, two of whom he shares with fiancée Georgina Rodríguez.

Their youngest, Bella, was born in April 2022, alongside her twin brother, who tragically was stillborn. Rodríguez has also played a major role in raising Ronaldo’s other three children.

The 31-year-old, known for her Netflix reality series I Am Georgina, had previously spoken about ongoing engagement rumors, saying her friends often teased her about marriage, especially after Jennifer Lopez’s song The Ring came out.

The engagement announcement drew attention from major celebrities. Kim Kardashian liked the post, while journalist Piers Morgan, who interviewed Ronaldo in 2022, wished the couple as much success in marriage as Ronaldo has enjoyed on the pitch. Charlotte Tilbury called it “fabulous news,” and Lauren Sanchez-Bezos, wife of Jeff Bezos, said she was “so happy” for them.

The family resides in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr. He joined the team in December 2022 on a reported £177m ($238m) annual salary. In June 2025, his contract was extended until 2027, quashing retirement rumors.

Marking the extension, Ronaldo posted on X: “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together.”
